Course Description
This Style Building session will equip you with essential knowledge for creating and preparing styles for production. This includes the style creation process, starting with the fundamentals of style sheets, design elements such as fabric selection, trim, and construction are explored alongside techniques for integrating intricate design details and callouts. Students will learn about building a sketch library using design blocks and how to prepare their first sample documents for production.

Karen: Karen is an accomplished omni-channel fashion and retail leader with a strong track recording Product Development, Brand Management, New Product Launches, Identifying Trend, Strategic Planning, and Cross Functional Collaboration. As Director of Product Development and MerchandisingBrand Director, Karen showcases her ability collaborating with designers, buyers, planners, quality and sourcing teams, and the creative team. She has a proven knack for curating exceptional collections that resonate with target audiences. She is a seasoned leader in building product, sourcing and cultivating vendor relationships, having traveled to nearly 20 countries for development and production purposes.Karen has mastered the art of launching new brands as well as product extensions; fueled by a deep-rooted passion for market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights. Karen takes pride in managing all aspects of product life-cycle and brand management, drawing upon over 20 years of experience.She understands the importance of building strong assortments that drive success in today’s competitive retail landscape.
