Sometimes, it can be disheartening to take a closer look at the industries we love, including fashion. Wage equity, waste, environmentally harmful practices — almost every industry has players who weigh profits over all else, to the detriment of the planet and its inhabitants. That’s why this speakers panel at Oregon’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Day was a breath of fresh air! We are filled with positivity and excitement about what the future holds. Every tiny step we make towards better practices creates a ripple effect, leading to positive change!

Have Wings, Will Travel was led by sustainable sourcing expert Angela Dean, Director, Ethical Sourcing at ARCHE. Panelists include Prabha Rathinasabapathy, founder of SOMO London, Kelly Peyton, founder of Ma Wovens, and Georgia Lee Hussey, CEO, and founder of Modernist Financial. All innovators in their respective industries gathered to discuss mission-driven sourcing and socially responsible ways of running a business.
