This Mother's Day weekend, Portland's fashion scene takes center stage at Spring Ascension, a runway event celebrating the emerging designers, models, and creatives shaping the Pacific Northwest's fashion future.
Taking place Sunday, May 10th, the show brings together 6+ designers for a live runway presentation, followed by a designer interview segment — a rare chance to hear the stories and inspiration behind the collections, straight from the creators themselves.

And it only gets better from there: guests are invited to close out the afternoon at a Mother's Day brunch reception, with wine and light bites, making it as much a celebration of community as it is of craft.
Behind the event is Linneas Boland-Godbey, Brand Manager for Le Pasefika Runway and a consistent force in elevating emerging talent across the region. His vision — a more unified, inclusive PNW fashion ecosystem — is exactly what Spring Ascension embodies.

The show also serves as a fundraiser for Nuwave Runway, a platform dedicated to giving designers, models, and artists the exposure and connections they need to grow.
Spring Ascension is the kind of event that reminds you fashion is about more than clothes — it's about community, representation, and giving emerging voices a stage.

I love how Spring Ascension highlights emerging designers and really focuses on community and storytelling in fashion. The idea of combining runway shows with conversations and a brunch reception makes it feel so personal and meaningful. The styling and bold fashion energy even reminds me a bit of Beth Dutton Yellowstone Outfits. Great coverage of such a creative event!
