A Legacy Woven Into Every Thread

The word Nazeerah means "the observer" or "the fruitful giver." The name is a tribute to co-founder Emily Mikhaiel's grandmother, a seamstress whose hands transformed Egyptian cotton into garments for her community. Emily's grandfather was a cotton broker, and her father even picked cotton after school.

Fashion is in her lineage, but so is responsibility. Inspired by her family's deep connection to Egypt's cotton fields, Emily created Nazeerah as a way to honor her ancestors while building a regenerative future for fashion.

Beyond cotton, Nazeerah incorporates deadstock fabrics, organic denim, and materials that carry certifications such as GOTS and OEKO-Tex 100. Buttons are made from ethically sourced horn and shell, elastic is derived from natural latex, and packaging is entirely compostable.
