A designer from Nigeria who now calls Seattle home is bringing her work to a farm in Northeast Portland this month. Another designer showcases ancestral weaving techniques on a 60-foot runway. Someone else makes tulle feel like an act of rebellion.
This is Fashion Five Runway Week, and this is your year to be part of it. Secure your ticket now and claim your spot. Tickets are available at fashionfivepdx.com. You can also purchase them at the door on event nights, but advance reservations are recommended.

On May 1 and 2 at Rossi Farms (3839 NE 122nd Ave, Portland), thirteen designers will showcase work ranging from sustainable Pacific Northwest minimalism to traditional Indian couture to raw, emotionally charged collections exploring identity and survival. It's two nights, one custom-built T-shaped runway, and a room full of people who care about what fashion can do when made with intention.
This matters because these designers don't have publicists or Paris budgets. They're building something in Portland, Seattle, and the Pacific Northwest. Attending means playing an active role in nurturing regional talent, gaining inspiration, and seeing fresh creativity firsthand. Buying a ticket isn't just about attending a show; it's about telling emerging designers their work deserves to be seen while enjoying a dynamic, memorable experience.
Doors open at 5pm both nights, welcoming you to an evening curated for discovery and enjoyment. Inside, enjoy live music by Portland's Baz Moto, mingle in the Designer Gallery, and walk the red carpet. The runway show starts at 7pm, and festivities last until midnight. Every ticket includes catered food: Flock Food Hall with a late-night Ramen Bar on Friday, Banchetto on Saturday.
There are two ticket options: General Admission and VIP. General Admission grants access to all shows and evening festivities, including live performances, gallery viewing, catered meals, and the shared event spaces. VIP tickets offer additional exclusives, including early entry, priority runway seating, access to the VIP lounge, complimentary drinks, and a special VIP-only reception with select designers.
You'll also find a VIP lounge, multiple bars, a photo booth by Reina Sur, and the thrill of uncovering a hidden speakeasy. The event engages all your senses and offers chances to meet fellow fashion enthusiasts.
The after parties feature Grammy-nominated artist Alana Rich on May 1 and Stacee Fida on May 2, with DJ Sir Jad3 keeping both nights going until midnight. After-party tickets are also available separately if you want to come just for the evening portion.
Opening night, May 1, is hosted by Seattle founder and entrepreneur Dubai Denis. On May 2, the full production — including an awards ceremony and judges from Portland and Seattle's creative community — is hosted by former Miss Oregon Kimberly Haslett.
But the real draw is the runway.
