Born in Uganda and raised across several African countries, Kahindo Mateene's Pan-African upbringing has given her a truly global perspective. Her designs reflect this rich background, blending heritage influences with contemporary silhouettes, while promoting cultural exchange and inclusivity.
Kahindo's fashion journey began at the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago, where she studied design before competing on Season 12 of Project Runway. Her career has since blossomed, with notable milestones including:
